WWW Wednesday [2]

I’m taking from Taking On A World Of Words for this one as an attempt to try and keep better track of my weekly reading habits. The meme is simple, it asks three questions and you answer them.

Alright, confession: I barely read anything that was an actual book this past week. I read...fanfiction and started watching the Mandalorian. Yes, I know I'm super behind. There is also the issue that we have been finishing cleaning up my place as we prepare to put it up for sale, I haven't had a lot of time just sitting so my reading has gone down a bit, though I'm working my way through some books so that's good! There is a suspicion that I've been suffering a reading slump as of late and that would not surprise me at all...I'm working on it!

What are you currently reading?

I'm still working my way through Forrest for the Trees by Kilby Blades, but I am enjoying it, a mystery within a national park! I've also started the audiobook for my reread of Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and I forgot a lot in this book and I'm excited to revisit the world. I haven't made a lot of progress in Drunk on All Your Strange New Words by Eddie Robson but I do hope to get back into reading it soon, it is unique and interesting! Finally, I've picked up Ravencaller by David Dalglish which is one that I started a while a go and am enjoying, but with not reading recently I put it down and didn't pick it up.

What have you recently finished?

I only managed to finish one book this week and that was The Recovery Agent by Janet Evanovitch. I have really loved all the Janet Evanovitch books that I've read and this is the start of a brand new series and I absolutely fell in love with it! A quick read with action and a bit of sexual and romantic tension between our two main characters, who happen to be divorced so that's a new one for me as far as subject matter. But this book was relaxing for me and I entirely enjoyed reading it! I can't wait for the next one! 4 out of 5

What are you planning on reading next?

I have the audiobook for What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher which I am so excited about, I love their horror and can't wait for this one! I've also picked up Wolf Gone Wild by Juliette Cross on KU in prep for ApollyCon (NEXT WEEK!!!) and this has prompted me to want to read From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L Armentrout about seven million years after everyone else :) I also would like to restart Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne as one of the final books on my July TBR!
